REMINDERS: *No school next week. Enjoy spring break! *We will not have spelling the week of March 30th. *When iPads come home the week of March 30th, have your child show you his/her ebook about Illinois. Thank you ABC 25! REMINDERS: *Report cards went home today. Please sign and return the report card envelope so it can be used again for the third trimester report card. Please keep in mind that the content covered during the second trimester is more challenging and this may be reflected in your child's grades. *This week, your child wrote his/her personalized learning question. Please sign and return the personalized learning paper that came home with your child's question. Famous Illinoisan Project: *Please help your child practice their speech. *We will be having a dress rehearsal in class on Tuesday, March 17th. Costumes, props, and posters are encouraged but not required at this practice. *The living history museum will be in the commons on Wednesday, March 18th from 2:45-3:30. *Your child can bring the poster to school on March 16th, 17th, or 18th. *Students will work on this visual aide at home. The visual should: ~ Boldly state the famous Illinoisan's name. ~Display 4-7 pictures with captions that tell more about the person's life and accomplishments. These can be hand drawn, printed from online resources, or a combination of the two. ~Reflect that careful effort was made towards correct spelling and grammar, overall neatness, and visual appeal. REMINDERS: *Students will be taking the PARCC test from 10:30 - 12:00 March 9 - 13. If possible, please try to have your child attend school during this time. Students will take a standardized test in math, reading, and writing. *Due to the PARCC test next week, the third grade team has decided to not have any homework next week. This means: no spelling or math home links.
