Super Bowl Fun: To get in the competitive spirit of the game this weekend, our class filled out "Super Bowl Squares" to win Homework Passes! I will be giving out 4 passes on Monday (1 for each quarter) For those who are unfamiliar with the concept here is an explanation. A game board is drawn up with 10x10 squares. Across the top of the board is the name of one team, and to the right of the board is the name of the opposing team. Each student initialed 4 game boxes in a random fashion. The columns and the rows on the board were numbered 0 through 9, at random by me. The numbers beside each team name represent the last digit in the end of the quarter score for that team. For example, if the score were 14 Seahawks, 3 Patriots, the student who's name is in the square under the '4' of Seahawks and the '3' of Patriots would win a homework pass.
Exciting Homework Below!
Your homework is to make a Valentine's Day box or bag to hold your valentines!
Materials: Anything you would like.
(buttons, felt, paper, shoe box, gift bag etc.)
Size: No bigger than a shoe box
Your box will need to have a slit so the valentines can be dropped in.
Your name needs to be written big on the front or the top so children will know it is your box.
These can be brought to school on February 11th, 12th, or 13th.
Have fun and use your imagination!
